​For 2027, Synergy travels to Phuket, Thailand – a destination where wellness is not simply an industry, but something deeply woven into culture, tradition and everyday life. For generations, Thai approaches to wellbeing have drawn together body, mind, nature and community. Traditional Thai massage, herbal medicine, meditation, Buddhist philosophy and indigenous healing practices continue to sit alongside an increasingly sophisticated landscape of spas, retreats, integrative medicine and longevity. It makes Thailand a natural home for Synergy 2027 and our theme.

THE HEALING POWER OF ANCIENT WISDOM - TIMELESS TRADITIONS IN A CHANGING WORLD

Against this backdrop, we will explore what ancient knowledge can teach a modern wellness industry, looking at timeless traditions in a changing world and how they can remain relevant while retaining their integrity, lineage and connection to place. From Buddhist mindfulness and traditional healing to ritual, nature and the wisdom of the body, we will consider how ancient knowledge can inform the experiences we create today, and what responsibility we have as these traditions evolve and travel. Thailand offers a powerful setting in which to ask: what wisdom do we carry forward?

OUR HOST PROPERTY

Set between a tropical lagoon and the white sands of Bangtao Beach, SAii Laguna Phuket is a relaxed beachfront resort surrounded by the natural beauty of Phuket’s Andaman coast. Lush tropical gardens, open water and warm Thai hospitality create a peaceful setting in which to slow down and experience a gentler rhythm of island life. Wellness is woven throughout the resort, with SAii Spa drawing on nature and Thai healing traditions, alongside yoga, Pilates, Thai boxing, fitness and outdoor activities. Move between lagoon and ocean, explore the water by kayak or paddleboard, or simply restore and reconnect within the resort’s tropical surroundings.
