BALI ENTRY REQUIREMENTS AND PROCEDURES
Please note that for your entry in Bali you are required to carry out 4 procedures:
1. Obtain a Visa
2. Complete Health Pass
3. Pay a Tourist E-Tax
4. Fill in a Customs Declaration
1. VISA
There are 2 ways to obtain a visa when entering Bali: A Visa on Arrival (VOA) and a pre organized e-Visa (e-VOA).
Arrival Entry Terms Conditions
• Passport validity minimum of 6 months beyond entry date to Indonesia. • RETURN air flight ticket.
E-VISA (E-VOA)
• Costs IDR 500.000 per person and the payment is made onsite.
• Entitles for a Single Entry into Bali (Indonesia), for a stay of up to 30 days and can be extended maximum 1 time at Local Immigration Office (charges applied).
• Payment can be done by: Visa Card, Master Card (in DPS only) or by Cash in IDR or foreign currency, foreign currencies USD, EURO, GBP, SGD and others as per prevailing exchange rate, only banknotes accepted.
VISA ON ARRIVAL (VOA)
• Can be applied 90 days up to 48 hours before arrival
Indonesian Immigration have launched a new online Pre-Arrival Application. This application is used for the issuance of Visa On Arrival or Single Entry Visitor Visa for Tourism Purpose for foreigners who will enter Indonesia. It is a government portal run by the Directorate General of Immigration Ministry of Law and Human Rights.
e-VOA is a single-entry visa which is valid for 30 days stay in Indonesia with the purpose of Tourism, Government Visit, Business Meeting, Goods Purchasing, or Transit only.
The e-VOA fee is IDR 500.000. Please note that every payment via Debit/Credit Card will incur additional fees according to the financial institution’s regulations.

Approval is subject to the Indonesian immigration department. Furthermore, regulations change regularly. We always suggest checking with the closest Indonesian Embassy and your Airline.
2. Health Pass
New Health Pass Requirement for International Travelers to Indonesia
The Indonesian Government has issued an important update, effective immediately, following the WHO's classification of Mpox as a Public Health Emergency of International Concern (PHEIC) on August 14, 2024.
All international passengers and aircraft crew must now complete a Health Pass before entering Indonesia. Please ensure you fill out the form prior to boarding your flight to Bali.

Once the form is fully completed, a QR code and personal data information will be generated.
3. TOURIST E-TAX
This is a new mandatory requirement for all international arrivals, for the Protection of Balinese Culture and Natural Environment and the fee is: IDR 150,000
This levy will be paid 1 (one) time for every Entry to Bali from foreign countries (direct or initially via other Indonesian entry points).
For this Bali Tourism Levy, foreign visitors have two convenient options for settling this fee.
• Prior to arrival, they can utilize the secure “Love Bali System” to prepay via cashless methods such as bank transfer, virtual account or QRIS.
• Alternatively, payment can be made upon arrival at designated entry points. Foreign visitors can make cashless payments at BRI counters available at airports and ports. Payment methods can include debit/credit cards or Electronic Data Capture (EDC).
We encourage visitors to consider pre-payment through Love Bali System to minimize arrival formalities.
4. CUSTOMS DECLARATION
When entering Indonesia you are required to fulfil a Customs Declaration. Nowadays it is mandatory to use the Electronic Customs Declaration (ECD) format:
• You must complete a Customs Declaration, available with electronic submission (paperless) by accessing https://ecd.beacukai.go.id/
• The process of filling out the Customs Declaration form can now be completed two days prior to the arrival date in Bali, either in the country of origin or beforehand. As a result, passengers arriving in Bali will no longer need to gather in the crowded customs area to fill out the paper form for Customs Declaration.
• The Electronic Custom Declaration ECD can only be filled out 3 days (72 hours) before the departure of your international flight to Indonesia.
